If you want a quiet hotel go somewhere else or request an outer facing room. Between the paper thin walls, doors that slam constantly and the inner rooms guests get no peace. It's an architectural feature and nice but if you have rooms overlooking a huge echo lobby make the glass/rooms soundproof. I am sitting in my hotel room right now with an inner room overlooking the lobby/dining/pool area.
